Flu Jab Services – On the Up?
Pharmacies across the UK have reported significant growth in private flu jab services despite national fears that vaccination uptake has been low this year. AAH has said pharmacies have on average doubled their initial allocation of doses.
Last month Novartis also reported that partner pharmacies administered approximately 40,000 flu vaccinations in the first month of the flu season.
However the Department of Health has issued a statement urging patients to get flu jabs after a low uptake of seasonal vaccinations so far this year.
