Pharmacy Stop Smoking Schemes are Thriving
Pharmacies on the south coast are defying enhanced service cuts to see their stop smoking schemes thrive.
Pharmacists in Hampshire and Dorset were celebrating success after helping around 4,400 (combined) to give up smoking between April 09 and March 10. The department of Health stated that nationally, more than 750,000 people tried to give up smoking through the NHS in 09-10, with almost 374,000 successful quitters at four weeks.
The government was currently reviewing how to move forward with stop smoking services.
