Flame Health Optometry are working with a reputable Independent Optical Practice who are seeking an experienced Optical Practice Manager to join them in their practice based in the North Shields area.

As the Practice Manager you will be responsible in the running of this high achieving and popular practice whilst working within a fully comprehensive management role, including  supervising staff, driving business growth and  ensuring the continued smooth running and profit of the practice.
Our client takes pride in offering a caring and professional service to all their patients and you will of course be working within an up to date practice which has well run clinics 
Role Requirements

  • Previous experience of managing and leading a team
  • Excellent selling and customer service skills
  • Strong Organisation with attention to detail
  • An excellent team player
  • Reliable and trustworthy

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Manage the team to achieve high levels of sales performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of products to recommend the best solution.
  • Ensure store stock is displayed effectively, hygienically and products and equipment are secured according to Company guidelines
  • Accurately operate the POS system and accounts for all transactions (cash, credit, returns)
  • Assists the customer in selecting frames and lenses that are best suited for their lifestyle and prescription needs.
  • Being proactive in keeping up to date with operational standards and training modules to further their knowledge.
  • Assist with contact lenses and dispensing glasses.

The successful candidate should be both technically and commercially aware with good optical managerial skills in order to drive an efficient and effective branch.
