Our expanding optical client, is a dynamic independent group of opticians based in Norfolk and Suffolk.

We are currently recruiting a commercially and clinically aware Qualified Dispensing Manager for a new practice opening soon in Holt, ideally you will be a QDM, however, if you are an experienced non qualified dispensing manger, with a proven track record, your application will be considered.

As the Optical Practice Manger, you will be given the autonomy to drive the practice forward, engaging and managing a team of optical, hearing care professionals and support staff to ensure all customers receives an exceptional, professional service.

Optical Dispensing/Practice Manger Overview

In addition to being an experienced and confident Qualified Dispensing Manager, you should also be able to demonstrate:

Management experience in retail and optical sector
Implement systems and procedures to ensure the effective management of the team;
Oversee the creation of staffing rotas that ensure staffing levels reflect the needs of the business at all times;
Manage the performance of individual team members and take necessary action where standards are not being met;
Being involved in the recruitment, selection and induction process of new employees;
Undertake appraisals of team members;
Identify and implement measures for improving working relationships within the team;
Work together with team members and other management colleagues in order to meet the objectives of the business;
Lead team meetings and encourage active participation, implement new ideas and feedback in order to improve ways of working;
Attend and contribute to group management meetings and be a proactive member of the management team.
