Are You Afraid of the Dentist?
A new device to ease patient anxiety has been introduced to UK dental practices.
Cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES) is used to put the patient into a state of deep relaxation via a headset that transmits the electrical and sound frequencies to the patient's brain. This gets the brainwaves to the point of deep relaxation usually associated with meditation and sleep. Patients also wear dark glasses and are given a nutritional supplement also linked to a relaxed state.
We would be very interested in hearing about this new gadget! Are you a dentist who has this in your dental practice? Let us know.
