Optometry Scotland webinar explores the new normal
A panel of experts from across the Optometry profession will discuss what the new normal will look like for optometrists. Aswell as answer questions about the latest expectations for practices.
Firstly, Optometry Scotland will host a webinar to discuss what the ‘new normal’ will look like following the pandemic for optometrists across Scotland.
So, The free event will take place on Tuesday 24 August from 6 pm to 7.30 pm and will be live-streamed on the Optometry Scotland Facebook page.
The webinar is open to members of Optometry Scotland as well as non-members.
Furthermore, the webinar will be hosted by Optometry Scotland’s vice-chair, Julie Mosgrove, along with Eilidh Thomson, the Black & Lizars representative at the organisation.
Commenting on the decision to launch the webinar. Mosgrove said: “Throughout the pandemic, we have been inundated with questions about the latest guidelines and now the focus is on what the new normal will look like. We have brought together a panel of experts who can bring some clarity. Especially around the latest expectations for community optometrists when it comes to keeping staff and patients safe.”
The discussion will bring together a panel of experts from representative bodies across the profession. This is including Kevin Wallace, clinical adviser for the AOP; Brenda Rennie, regional lead for the Association of British Dispensing Opticians; and Kathryn Trimmer, Scotland chair for FODO.
