National Account Manager – The North of the UK

40 hours per week
Flexibility to attend events at evenings and weekends on occasion is required

Flame Health Optical Sales are seeking a National Account Manager, in the North of the UK for Our Client, who specialise in the supply and servicing of specialist optical instruments, machines and consumables for opticians, hospitals, eye care clinics and optical laboratories.
Our client are a highly successful and long established leading supplier to Opticians, Ophthalmologists and Laboratories in the UK and Ireland. The team of highly trained experts sell an extensive range of top quality instruments and machines that encapsulate the latest innovation in technology.
They are looking for an individual with commercial flare and a confident personality to join our team as a National Account Manager in their Optical division. This is a demanding role which will require drive, enthusiasm and tenacity as well as skills of negotiation, sales and commercial awareness.
This role may suit an experienced sales person or someone with knowledge of the Optical industry who is keen to start a career in Sales.
Their customers expect great service and they are focused on providing an exceptional product combined with a premium level of aftercare. To make that happen their people need to be a little bit different: have a genuine passion for the industry and a desire to deliver.
A key part of this role is collaborating with other functions in the business; the ideal candidate will demonstrate solid team working skills.
Daily duties will include developing, building and maintaining long term relationships with existing customers in the Optical industry. It is very important that the candidate can confidently support clients with equipment purchase planning, helping them find new revenue streams and getting the most out of the products they purchase from us.
You will be expected to liaise and meet with customers and potential customers identifying, securing and developing new accounts. Part of the role will also require travelling to optical practices, hospitals and other venues to offer sales advice, training and support.
You will be out on the road meeting your customers so you will need to be prepared to travel the South of England. It is essential that all applicants hold a full driving license, and are prepared from time to time to stay away from home overnight.
Our client require a highly motivated, results driven personality. Someone who is enthusiastic; and can show passion for technology, the company, their products and services.  It is essential that you show you are confident in dealing with customers in a field based environment and of course hold excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.
You can expect to be will be supported by our Head of Clinical Affairs to continually develop your personal knowledge of the Ophthalmic Sector enabling you to provide the most pertinent and up to date information on a range of products.
