Optical Software Support Engineer - Newbury
Flame Health are looking to recruit an Optical Software Support Engineer in the Newbury area who will be responsible for the provision of the implementation and technical support within the business.
The ideal candidate will be confident and articulate who can work both autonomously or as part of a team. You will have the ability to learn the features and benefits of the product and to be able to communicate this effectively to clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Remote implementation of optical practice management software for our clients customers
- Provision of the optical training and support.
- Configure and maintain simple LAN, shared printers, Wi-Fi, user access and system backup
- Manage the troubleshooting and resolution of technical support issues
- Provide detailed feedback to the development team where issues require escalation
- From time to time provide support for other product software applications
Educational standards required for the job:
- Good general education, with an IT qualification of HNC/HND, preferably degree level
Specialist knowledge/experience required:
- Experience with IT hardware / software and operating systems
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and a basic understanding of databases – SQL, Access and Oracle
- Experience of working within an Opticians environment, preferable
- Good communication skills, at all levels, essential
- P.C skills are required
