Flame Health Optometry are working on behalf of a client who are the largest and longest established national provider of home eye testing services, bringing urgently needed optometric services to those individuals who are unable to attend the High Street practitioner unattended.
They now have an excellent opportunity available for an Optical Advisor in the Peterborough area working on a Monday to Friday basis.
Your role lies in delivering, fitting and adjusting prescription glasses in the patient’s home. In addition you will carry out Dispensing and “Aftercare” home visits, in the community. As an Optical Advisor you will have frequent contact with customers who have a range of optical needs that you need to be understanding of, and to a great extent be able to respond to and satisfy by offering the patient the opportunity to purchase all the complimentary products that would normally be available to them in the high street.

Requirements of the role:

• Motivated and focused on achieving own goals
• Confident about working alone and as part of a regional team
• Commercially aware, and happy to offer the customer what they need
• Dedicated to exemplary patient service to ensure patient satisfaction
• Excellent communication skills, with empathy and patience
• Desire to do, see and enjoy a job well done
• At least 12 months experience working in the industry
• Valid UK driving licence with at least 2 years experience
• Complies with all aspects of the Health and Safety at Work Etc Act 1974 and with the Company’s current Health and Safety Policies.
• Confident driver and enjoys being out on the road
