Flame Health is seeking a capable NHS/ private Dental Practice Manager in the Oxford Area.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in the dental industry or similar medical sector, with excellent marketing and business skills. You will have a well rounded life experience, and show the maturity and confidence to work across this varied role.
This is a challenging role but also very rewarding for a candidate who wants to take the next step in their career. There could be a degree of flexibility on salary depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage performance of all staff (front of house, nursing, and fee-earners): set goals to meet sales targets, monitor performance providing regular feedback, and hold (at minimum) annual documented appraisal meetings
• Where performance or behaviour is not acceptable, manage the disciplinary process with the manager and where necessary, terminate employment
• Manage any grievance procedures
• Regularly review policies and procedures, and update and add to these as needed in a Practice Operating Manual
• Ensure business growth and patient marketing
• Own the recruitment process. To include: developing advertisements and job descriptions, candidate selection and interviewing, feedback on interviews, job offers and employment contracts, liaising with the directors as required
• Coordinate staff induction and training programmes, including setting standards, tasks and goals
• Regularly review progress, provide feedback and mentor staff as appropriate
• Ensure that the practice’s employment contracts are up-to-date and ensure compliance with all employment (and other) regulations
• Ensure staff records (including attendance, sickness and holiday) are maintained and that staff follow the practices policies/contract obligations.
