Our client are an East Midland based NHS service provider working across GP practice, urgent care, OOH (GP and Nurses), care home medical management, rapid intervention and clinical training teams and they require a Director of Operations to come and take control of the group from a business perspective and to work along side the Clinical Directors, to manage, develop and grow the group.
The ideal candidate must have:

• A thorough understanding of the NHS, service provision in the NHS, and commissioning within the NHS
• Demonstrable experience in leading, motivating and managing teams
• Experience of working in an operational environment with responsibility for managing and sustaining targets
• Strategic and operational leadership/management experience
• Experience in business planning, HR policy and procedures, service improvement, project management.
• Experience of delivering change successfully
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and act proactively
• Collaborative leadership style
• Excellent communication skills to engage with and motivate a diverse workforce.
• Able to negotiate, persuade, empathise.
• Excellent resource and budget management skills
• Able to chair regular meetings and make public presentations
• Able to produce clear written reports and present to board level
• Advanced keyboard skills, advanced use of IT packages.
• Able to analyse, interpret, present and disseminate complex and sensitive and contentious information / statistics.

This role will be a vital part of the groups business going forward, as the successful incumbent will be tasked with delivering new business growth and development.
