Are You A Registered Children's Home Manager?

FChildrens Homelame Care have two brand new positions for Registered Children's Home Managers in the United Kingdom. These positions are based in County Durham and Staffordshire.
For both positions, the ideal candidate:

  • You will need to have had a wide range of experience as a childcare practitioner
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services with children and young people’s residential management pathway or equivalent
  • Have knowledge of the Children Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000 Children’s Home Regulations and Safeguarding children procedures
  • Previous Home Management experience within a children’s home is essential as well as being previously registered with Ofsted as a Manager
  • You will be required to be part of an out of hours on-call rota
  • A full driving licence us required

Flame Care are currently looking to recruit a Registered Children’s Home Manager for a brand new residential service that is opening near to Darlington. This home will be providing care and therapy for 6 young people aged from 7 to 19, who have a range of abilities and needs, which may include Autism.  The therapy and care will support the social, moral and emotional needs of our young people.
This new home has been specifically designed to accommodate young people with complex needs within a homely residential environment, situated within a semi-rural picturesque location. It offers a range of nurturing and stimulating experiences in outdoor activities such as equestrian and small animal care, horticultural and agricultural projects.

Flame Care are currently looking to recruit a Registered Children’s Home Manager to work within a residential setting within a residential school for young people aged 5 to 19 with autism and moderate to severe learning difficulties. This position is based within Rugeley, Staffordshire.
The school provides a modern setting in which students can achieve an enhanced degree of emotional stability through an active approach to learning. Students are able to engage in daily life with increased confidence, self-esteem, dignity and independence. The school promotes the development of social behaviours, independence and personal skills, offering opportunities to practice them in real life settings. It also provides care with a strong emphasis on the importance of privacy, dignity, rights, choice and fulfilment in a comfortable, homely, stimulating and safe environment.
