PBS Practitioner Opportunity - West / North Yorkshire
Salary up to £33,000 p.a.
Flame Care are currently working alongside a national client who is a leading independent provider of support for people with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, mental health problems as well as those with behaviours that challenge.
We are looking to recruit a highly experienced Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner, to cover two to three services based across Leeds and Redcar. This will be to cover a new service that provides residential care and support for up to young adults with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and complex behaviours, as well as a new service due to open next year that caters for dual diagnosis, mainly mental health adults.
You will likely have previous experience in the following areas:
- Be a qualified Registered Nurse or Social Worker or Cert Ed or equivalent qualification (BCBA, BaCBA) with demonstrable practical experience of work within Autism, Mental Health and or Learning Disability services (would also consider applications where people have extensive experience of working in the field of PBS)
- Conducting a Functional Behavioural Assessment and developing Behaviour Support Plans that are person centred and show change for the individual in achieving meaningful activities
- Developing bespoke training plans for staff in the area of PBS and be able to demonstrate measurable outcomes from the same
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to present information and recommendations in a clear and logical way
- Evidence of having implemented practices which have resulted in positive outcomes for people whose behaviour has been defined as challenging themselves or others or may use these services in the future
- Knowledge of quality accreditation schemes or quality frameworks in this area
In return you will receive an excellent salary of between £30,000 - £33,000, plus car allowance, career developments and a benefits package.
