8/10 Employers Plans To Hire In Next Three Months

Here at Flame Health, we were pleased to here from the REC's (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) latest press release that eight in ten employers are planning to hire permanent staff in the next three months. Over three quarters are planning to hire in the next four-twelve months.
This increase in demand for permanent staff was most notable in microbusinesses (employing 10 people or less), with 74% hoping to take on staff in the next three months, compared to 29% when asked the same question a year ago.
REC Chief Executive Kevin Green had this to say of the findings:
“Businesses are increasingly thinking about expanding their numbers and many are telling us that they can’t take on more work without more staff...Employers should seek to improve recruitment practices and tap into talent pools that might have been overlooked."
