The 'Super Paramedics' of the London Ambulance Service
The London Ambulance Service has selected twelve members of its Paramedics team to become 'Super Paramedics', helping to look after the most critically ill patients; twenty-four more Paramedics will follow suit over the next eighteen months.
The 'Super Paramedics' will have further training for two months to become highly-skilled and advanced Paramedics, enabling them to respond to more serious, life-threatening cases such as cardiac arrests, road collisions, and patients who need more powerful drugs normally only given by a doctor.
