My Flame Health Monthly Update – February

It’s the beginning of February; are you still sticking to those New Year resolutions? Here at Flame Health, 2014 has gotten off to a great start!
We have seen a positive start to the year in the Optical Sales and Veterinary sectors. A number of superb vacancies have been attained with some very high profile clients, so please take a look if you are looking for a new challenge within either of these industries. We are also pleased to confirm a placement within Optical Sales which happened very quickly - from interview, to offer to placement! In addition, there are a healthy number of candidates being interviewed for some key roles over the next few weeks so we are expecting further positive news. The number of opportunities within the Veterinary sector is ever increasing which is a very good sign indeed, contact us for more information on our current opportunities for Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses in a wide range of locations.
Flame Health Pharmacy have been busy with new vacancies flooding in after the New Year period. We are currently working with an increased number of independents and we have some opportunities for more senior roles, for example a Pharmacy Director in Scotland. Flame Health Cosmetic Surgery have also taken on some excellent new roles within Private Healthcare and hospitals, such as Radiographers, Sonographers and Staff Nurses.
January has been a very strong month indeed within our Optometry sector. A significant volume of placements were made with one of our key clients and our pipeline into the remainder of the quarter is looking very strong. We have also welcomed a new addition to our team in January; Optical Resourcer Katie Chantrey. Katie has worked within the recruitment industry for two years and we have high hopes for her! Since joining us four weeks ago Katie has already made a placement and has a good number of candidates going in for interviews over the coming weeks.
It was a very busy start to the year in Flame Health’s Dentistry and GP division, with twenty-two new jobs coming in, ranging from Associate Dentists to Orthodontic Therapists, and Practice Managers to Lead GPs. We had many candidates starting work in the first week of January, and we have also pushed some of the practice sales we are working on close to completion. CQC partnerships are still proving to be slowing the process of practice sales down, and we have joined forces with a specialist consultancy to provide a solution to this problem. Flame Care have had some great success in January with our national client and we are currently looking to recruit for a number of fantastic opportunities in Nottingham, to work in a newly re-opened hospital that will be opening early 2014 and will provide inpatient treatment for patients with acute mental health issues, addictions or dual diagnosis. These are exciting opportunities to join a brand new service and join the existing staff team. We are looking to speak to all qualified Staff Nurses (RMN / RGN) with experience of working within Acute Mental Health, Addictions and Dual Diagnosis settings, as well as Charge Nurses, Clinical Services Managers, CBT Therapists, Clinical Psychologists and Consultant Psychiatrists.
