GDC Warns Members About Online Security

The General Dental Council has warned its registrants about the important of online security.
This is in relation to the eGDC  service which allows dental professionals to manage their registration online.
The GDC has become aware of other websites which offers members the service of logging details on eGDC for them. In order to do this, registrants must hand over their eGDC login details, therefore exposing personal information, such as bank details and telephone numbers, to a third party. This poses obvious security risks and should be avoided.
