Is Facebook A Good Tool For Recruiters? Tell us what you think!
Do you think that Facebook is a useful way for all recruiters to find the candidates they are looking for?
In some industries, such as retail, the answer may seem more obvious as companies often have a pre-exisiting fan base on the social networking sight, due to users liking and sharing their favourite places to shop. This may not be the case, however, for other industries.
It has also been suggested that Facebook may only be useful when recruiting for certain types of roles, and not executive positions for example, due to the demographic of Facebook users. However, perhaps surprisingly, this assumption could prove to be wrong, as two-third of users are 35 or older, and nearly half are 45 or older.
What are your experiences with Facebook and recruitment? Have you applied for a job initially seen on Facebook before?
