Rountable Meeting
On 26th October 20 healthcare bodies will attend a second roundtable meeting to discuss the impact that changes to the commissioning process and the new structure of the NHS has on eye health will be hosted by the College of Optometrists.
President of the College, Kamlesh Chauhan said:
"Changes to the NHS and the commissioning process mean that there may be further opportunities for optometrists to provide patient care. We want to use this roundtable to discuss how the sector can work with other health professionals, Government and commissioning bodies to prevent avoidable sight loss. The College wants to ensure that optometrists are recognised as clinicians who have a vital role to play in the management of eye disease and eye health."
