According to a Cegedim Strategic Data survey, Pharmacists have a lower awareness of health-related mobile phone apps than almost all other health professionals.
From 675 healthcare professionals, only 53% of pharmacists surveyed were aware of mobile apps specifically tailored for professional use, compared with 61% of GPs and 89% of rheumatologists.
Awareness was higher among secondary care physicians than primary care (67 per cent versus 55 per cent) in the study of 675 healthcare professionals, conducted between May and June 2012.
