Help for families dealing with Dementia
A recent survey conducted by the Alzheimer’s Society and a leading care provider estimates that at least 40% of people in the UK are unsure on how to care for a family member who develops symptoms of dementia.
Chief Executive of the Alzheimer’s Society, Jeremy Hughes, wants to make help and support readily available for people in this situation.
One main source of help will be from a series of films, focusing on how people can gain help when dealing with a loved one who develops dementia. This has been launched by a leading care provider, in collaboration with dance choreographer Arlene Phillips whose father was diagnosed with dementia.
Flame Care are happy to see that there is help out there, in different ways for people to connect with.
