Independent Prescribing Responsibilities to Physiotherapists

It has been good news for Physiotherapists.
The Department of Health (DH) has agreed to extend independent prescribing responsibilities to physiotherapists, giving them the right to prescribe medicines by the end of this year.
It has been a 10 year campaign by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and a DH consultation on the proposals last year.
This now means that physiotherapists in the UK will become the first in the world to be able to independently prescribe medicines.
