NHS Funding
Health Secretary, Andrew Lansley has announced that in 2012-2013 the NHS will get a funding boost of £2.5 billion to provide services for patients.
A whopping £91.6 billion will go to PCT’s. This includes: £87.5 billion to PCT’s to provide care for local patients and £4.1 billion to be invested in dental, eye care and pharmaceutical services.
This funding boost reveals the Government’s determination to ensure that the NHS can provide a high quality service to patients. Due to the difficult economic climate, this is a significant step by the Government.
