Pharmacists Concerned Over Diabetes Treatment Knowledge
A survey has found that more than three quarters of pharmacists feel they do not know enough about newer treatments for diabetes to perform MUR’s.
From 200 pharmacists, only 4% and 2% of pharmacists felt they had a thorough understanding of DPP-4 inhibitors and GLP-1 analogues respectively. While 32% were unaware of the latest Nice guidelines on therapies.
Are you a pharmacist who feels you do not have enough knowledge about newer treatments for diabetes? We would like to know what your thoughts are on this subject.
