REC Takes the Prize for Diversity

At the Trade Association Forum’s annual best practice awards recently, REC took two of the major prizes, including a special recognition given to our Diversity Charter as the Social Initiative of the Year. Developed in conjunction with JobCentre Plus, the Diversity Charter provides recruiters with a suite of information and materials to help them excel at proactively attracting candidates from the whole of the UK’s diverse workforce.

“The award for Social Inclusion was launched for the first time and we are proud to position our industry at the forefront of the social agenda with our Diversity work with JobCentrePlus. If you have not already signed our award winning Diversity Pledge, I urge you to go on line and do so.”

Signing up to the pledge is absolutely free and allows quality agencies to demonstrate publicly that they are committed to equality in the workplace. This will become even more important next year when, under new legislation, all those employing staff in or for the public sector will be obligated to comply with the rigorous Committed to Equality Standard. Take the first step towards achieving this vital standard today.
