Flame Health Optical Sales are seeking a Training and Services Manager (TSM) in the South, for one of the leading providers of Ophthalmic Lens technology. The ideal person will work as part of the company Labs sales and marketing team on a defined Lab Key Account base.

The TSM will use specific marketing tools and proven training processes to support their customers and elevate their business to become an elite ECP. The TSM will totally embrace technology, the importance of digital measuring devices and personalisation in lenses and the patient journey. The TSM will support the company to improve product mix and overall customer experience. They will be responsible for the targeting, selling in the strategy, Training, and Implementation of the process. The TSM will provide ongoing support and feedback.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

· Ongoing training, support and assessment of the company Labs Key Account Services marketing, training and sales programmes.

· Uses consultative selling and training to support goals and objectives established for the target base.

· With the use of profit calculators advise on profit margins.

· ‘As needed’ reworking of planning and execution of these services 

· Monitors changes in company structure or marketplace and adjusts the marketing plans and tools accordingly.

· Communicates directly with company Lab Account Managers on the identified key accoubnt target base in their respective territory.

· Conveys to company Lab Account Managers the goals and objectives established for the product category and revenue growth within each partnered with company Labs in the programme(s).

· Completes analysis for each on the impact of goal attainment on company profitability and other company Lab revenue KPI’s.

· Establishes with targeted key account and Commercial Director the product offering and retail pricing for targeted product categories

· Influencer of technology, personalization & Digital devices.

· Monitors product category and revenue growth, providing tracking to all appropriate business departments.

· Tracks and communicates consistently to the key accounts their progress and success and shares these results internally.

· Provides world-class customer service as a business consultant to selected key accounts.

Person Specification:

Knowledge and Experience

· Proven track record in field or retail sales over a minimum period of three years

· Excellent presentation and training skills

· Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

· Understanding of optical principles

· Skills and Abilities

· Perseverance: Good, confident telephone manner and good communication skills

· Interpersonal savvy: Influential and persuasive. Ability to communicate at both practice owner and ancillary staff levels.

· Customer focus

· Ability to utilize internal and external resources.

· Drive for results: Able to follow documented processes accurately

· Personal learning: Flexible approach to work tasks

· Education and Qualification

· General education qualifications 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including Maths and English to Grades C or above

· Dispensing Optician qualification preferred but not essential.

· Full, clean driving license
