Flame Health Optical Sales are seeking a Professional Services Consultant in the North of England, On behalf of one of the leading providers of Ophthalmic lens technology.

The role will ideally suit an FBDO qualified Dispensing Optician, with sales experience and exemplary lens knowledge.


To assist with the planning, sales development and business support tailored to individual customers across the territory.

To assist with the development and training for internal customers


• Deliver agreed training programmes to target stores across a wide audience (Optometrists, Dispensing Opticians and Optical Consultants) and develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders.

• Ongoing training, support and assessment of the ECP Services marketing, training and sales programmes.

• Use consultative selling and training techniques to support goals and objectives established for the ECP target base.

• Communicates directly with Kodak Account Managers on the identified ECP target base in their respective territory.

• Conveys to Kodak Account Managers the goals and objectives established for product category and revenue growth within each ECP partnered with Kodak in the programme(s).

• Establish with targeted ECP, Professional Services Training Manager and Head of UK Sales the product offering and retail pricing for targeted product categories

• Assist with monitoring product category and revenue growth, providing tracking to all appropriate business departments.

• Track and communicate consistently to the ECP’s their progress and success and shares these results internally.

• Liaise and communicate with key internal bodies including Marketing/Sales and Customer Care

• Deliver agreed training to selected laboratories.

• Provides world class customer service as a business consultant to selected ECP’s.

• Monthly follow up and feedback meeting or calls with customers following training events


• To work in line with duty of care to self/others and ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed in line with company policy.

• To protect the health and safety of visitors / contractors / external providers brought to site and ensure relevant H&S guidelines are meant.

• To bring to the attention of the business hazards, risks, concerns, accidents or near misses.

• Comply with any local PPE requirements.

• To ensure visitors / contractors / external providers meet relevant environmental procedures while on site.

• To bring to the attention of the business environmental hazards, risks and concerns.

• A-level (or equivalent) in a related subject Desirable

• Dispensing Optician qualification KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR ROLE Essential

• Proven track record in field or retail sales over a minimum period of three years.

• Optical Dispensing experience

• Strong sales ethic

• Excellent presentation and training skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated computer skills required.

• Influential and persuasive.

• Ability to communicate at both practice owner and ancillary staff levels.

• Able to travel up to 75% of time.
