Flame Health have an exceptional new role in The South-East for a Business Manager to oversee Practice Managers across 12-15 sites. The role will be home based, yet there will be a lot of travel expected due to the amount of sites you will cover and therefore be required to visit.

As a Regional Business Manager you will be encouraged to maximise income and profit of the business area through targeted business development with clinicians and practice teams and effective coaching and performance management of Practice Management teams.

Key responsibilities

· Work as the key person within the area team lead and support Practice Managers
· Work in close partnership with the clinical team (Practice and Locality Leads) to deliver key objectives and support clinicians in all clinical matters and develop and implement new services
· Lead, manage and develop a clearly focused, high performing team of Practice Managers, recognising excellence and developing and implementing action plans to address areas opportunity of concern.
· To support the integration of new sites into the area
· Performance Management
· Analyse, monitor and review the P&L, maximizing profitability and manage the area to budget or better.
· Ensure delivery against all contractual KPIs as set by the CCG.
· Drive, coach, develop and support Practice Managers in all aspects of operational management, delivering efficient and profitable performance which consistently hits income and profit targets whilst maintaining excellence and consistency in operational standards.
· Responsible for all aspects of team management and development, including performance management, of direct reports.
· Work with HR to support Practice Managers in resolving any employee relations (disciplinary/grievance) issues to a satisfactory conclusion.
· Be innovative and identify areas of business development within the area
· Encourage and nurture an ethos of support and collaboration within the area team, ensuring an enthusiastic, motivated, engaged and successful area.
· Ensure the area manpower resources are monitored and optimised are to deliver the area key objectives.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

· Experience of working with CCG’s and delivering high volume customer focused services to the healthcare sector.
· Will have knowledge of Customer Care Systems.
· Ideally will have experience of GMS/PMS/APMS contract delivery and/or other NHS experience.
· Will have the ability to understand and work in a politically sensitive environment, achieving results without compromising the company, colleagues, shareholders and stakeholders. Good understanding of the political agenda and drivers influencing primary care provision.

· Experience of and a strong financial skill set linked to business planning, budgeting, profiling management information and reporting is essential.
· Contract management skills are essential.
· Must be able to demonstrate leadership internally and externally to the organisation and the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
· The ability to reach sound judgments and decisions is key when dealing with often complex issues and operating in highly pressured situations.
· Will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Will have excellent presentation skills
· Will have a track record in managing people and organisational change. Must have sound knowledge of Employment Legislation and implementing performance management tools.
· Will have substantive experience in a management/strategic role.
· Proven track record in multisite and multi-disciplinary team management ideally in the healthcare sector
· Working knowledge of TUPE an Agenda for Change terms and conditions a distinct advantage.
· Will have experience of utilising ICT as a key business tool.

In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive a salary circa: £55,000 p.a plus benefits.
