Flame Health Optical Sales - Account Manager - London

Flame Health Optical Sales are seeking an Account Manager to cover the London territory, for our client which is one of the leading manufacturer and wholesale distributor of optical lenses in the United Kingdom.

They supply a large number of the UK Independent Opticians.

The company works closely with all their Opticians providing not only lenses and equipment but also strategic business advice in sales, marketing and customer support, helping their customers to grow their businesses and support patients with all areas of eye care.

They work directly with a network of eyecare experts, opticians that are passionate, highly skilled and patient-focused.

Opticians in their independent network are trusted advisor’s and experts who are fully qualified and experienced in explaining the benefits of the company’s technologically advanced range of glasses lenses to suit the patient’s exact vision needs.

Your role as the Account Manager will be to consolidate existing sales and increase profitable sales of independent opticians, in accordance with the company sales and marketing strategy to meet turnover targets in accordance with the Company discount structure. You will also develop, build and maintain relationships that will develop sales of the Company’s branded product range in line with forecast and ensure that they become the customers preferred supplier

Your Responsibilities:
· To maintain a consistent practice visit programme, in line with targets, in field for Independent Accounts across the geographical area to increase sales by ensuring that the Company brands becomes the preferred client supplier

· To sell in full, the range of the products by negotiation with opticians
· To present all relevant marketing/commercial activity to key personnel agreeing actions and processes required to ensure its success
· To regularly review with all customers their business, product mix and supplier preferences promoting the company brand as first choice
· To agree and implement customer training, both in practice and in seminar format, on all new and existing products to improve added value sales
· To maintain accurate customer records and reports for relevant accounts via Salesforce to ensure that sales data and market activity can be analysed accurately
· To ensure competitor product knowledge is continually maintained
· To continually assess the market, maintaining customer and competitor records to identify opportunities and be able to provide call reports, monthly reports and forward planning sheets as required
· At all times to act as an ambassador of the Company’s branding product and its values.

Environmental Responsibilities:
· Ensure Environmental guidelines are followed in line with company policy
· To be responsible for environmental requirements of self and visitors
Education/Qualification:
· A-level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject is required
· Dispensing Optician qualifications (FBDO) or optical experience is required
· Degree (or equivalent) preferably in business studies or a technical subject is desired
· Professional sales/marketing qualification (CIM Advanced Certificate or equivalent) is desired

Knowledge/ Experience Required For Role:
Required
· Working on own initiative to tight deadlines
· Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing
· Ability to effectively analyse and interpret data
· Excellent time management and organisational skills
· Computer literate
Desirable:
· Experience of successful sales account management in related field
· Knowledge and experience of pricing systems, marketing theory and its application, selling and negotiating techniques
· Proven track record of delivering effective training and coaching to change behaviour
· Previous experience of training in group and individual environments
· Knowledge of lens manufacturing processes, Company products and a good understanding of the UK optical market
